If you had been playing pool, bingo, the tote or on usually the one arm bandit you might wager the full weeks wages in less than one hour, but when you want to use your whit your skill and your ability to play poker against other like minded people unless you go to a casino, each time you open the cards and place significantly more than your £5 or £10 on the table you are immediately breaking the law.

I think that the government should look at this and so long as the games are run fairly and league nights are run honestly and openly then poker must certanly be treated as just around a casino game of skill as every other sport or game. And the restrictions must certanly be raised allowing a much better standard of play through the entire poker playing community without having to break the financial institution or the law.
How about our MPs taking a look at raising the stakes never to silly amounts but to an acceptable price where players will take it more severe and a higher standard of play will soon be reached across the way.
